Our Story
Founded in 2023, Techniche Labs emerged from a team of seasoned professionals with a rich history in the technology sector. Before becoming an independent company, our team was solely focused on Software Development and I.T. Services for a leading Australian company, where we built and maintained a wide variety of technologies and infrastructure.
Along the way we kept running into the same problem in our own development work: AI coding assistants would generate plausible-looking code and hand it over, leaving the developer to find out whether it actually built, passed its tests or did what was asked. We wanted an assistant that proved its work before we relied on it – so we built one.
That assistant is Codayak, our first product: an AI coding workbench for Windows 10 and 11 that sits beside your editor and reads, writes, builds, tests and verifies your code through the LLM provider you choose, on your own API key. Codayak is now released and in developers' hands, distributed through GitHub releases, and you can see its live download figures on the Codayak page.
Codayak is also where we are heading. We continue to develop and release it alongside our services work, and we welcome feedback from the developers using it – get in touch if you would like to talk to the team behind it.

2023 - Present
Techniche Labs was officially established as an independent company on the 12th May 2023.
Growing Partnerships
Established key partnerships with industry leaders including Lloyds Auctioneers & Valuers, Rocket Technologies International, ICAARS, and Ignite Labs.
Codayak Started
In April 2026 we began building a tool for ourselves: an AI development assistant that would genuinely speed up the way we write software, because we could not find anything on the market that did the job properly.
Codayak Released
On 1 September 2026 our first product, Codayak, was released for Windows 10 and 11, distributed through GitHub releases.
